These clamps are held in the open position by compressing the tangs and allowing the stop to hook on to a complementary notch on the side of one of the tangs. The hook catches this "dimple" when the clamp is opened for a more secure hold. The clamp cannot be pre-opened any further than the stop, ensuring the clamp will not be over-expanded. The clamp can then be glued in position on a hose. Material: Steel; SAE 6150 Chrome Vanadium (DIN 17222, JIS G 4802) and SAE/1074 Finish: Paint, offering 1,000 hours of salt spray protection.
